Love him or hate him, Kanye Wests ‘Runaway’ video was a once in a decade pop culture achievement. The synchronization between, narrative, musical score and cinematography was fantastically executed. The climax of the experience, to us, was the song ‘All of the Lights’. It is an extremely motivational song and an excellent way to usher in this new year and decade. Our hats off to Mr. West.
‘If you want it you can get it for the rest of your life.’
I am the maniac, I am the fool I found a monster in me when I lost my cool It lives inside of me eating whats in its web Put black spray paint on my windows during the day Wanna spend time with it, I think I’m losing it Or I found it and I’m using it I wear my shades at night so I can look in the abyss I see something in nothingness if you could picture this Put black holes in my jaw lid I climb the wall, I’m too high now I’d die form the fall Before the waters to our knees We can’t climb on the tree’s wash away And you and I are the disease
“You might think you’ve peeped the scene you haven’t The real ones far to mean The watered down one The one you know Was made up centuries ago It made it sound all wack and corny Yes, it’s awful, blasted boring Twisted fiction Sick addiction Well gather round children Zip it listen! “
As we proceed to listen to the verse and chorus of this record, let us bust out the phillies and smoke a spliff with our compadres. Let us nod in reverence till our neck’s begin to break; smack any bitch that steps out of place, stomp them harder than Ike beat Tina. Let us roll over to Joseph Jacob’s crib to bust out the 40’s, where he’s got bitches drinkin’ nut by the pint.
